MoviePass Review: Wrath of the Titans

A sequel to the much-maligned remake of an okay but almost equally silly original film… sure, why not? It’s not quite summer yet. The most anticipated movies are yet to come. Thanks to the power of lowered expectations, you too could kinda enjoy Wrath of the Titans.

Sure, the story is a ridiculously convoluted mishmash of about half a dozen Greek myths, all crammed into one mad-libs-like take on the hero’s journey, replacing the Golden Fleece with the Spear of Trium, but it’s all in good fun. We don’t really learn much about ourselves or the human condition (or Greek mythology) by watching Perseus (Sam Worthington) go on another quest to save the world. But, are you really going to Wrath of the Titans expecting to learn any real life lessons? I hope not…Continue reading the review on the MoviePass blog→

    I didn’t mind Clash of the Titans. Then again, I went in expecting to loathe it, so that may explain a lot. And I didn’t pay money for it, so that helps too. I might watch ‘Wrath’ if it’s free, but I ain’t paying.
